Pope Leo urges release of Haiti hostages, aid for Nepal after deadly floods

Pope Leo XIV appealed for the release of hostages in Haiti and prayed for victims of deadly floods in Nepal and Tibet. He sent financial assistance through the Dicastery for the Service of Charity to Caritas Nepal for relief efforts. The Pope also called for peace and invited faithful to join the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation on September 1.
