Catholic Diocese in Cameroon Warns Against Fake Facebook Account Impersonating Local Ordinary

The Catholic Diocese of Obala in Cameroon has warned the public about a fake Facebook account, "Bayemi Bayemi," which impersonates Bishop Sosthène Léopold Bayemi Matjei and solicits money in exchange for jobs, assistance, and "special blessings." The diocese's communication head, Fr. Lambert Ayissi Ongolo, said the official account remains under the bishop's control and urged people to ignore such messages and report them to the authorities and to the platform.
